Man wins $800,000 after playing the same number combination 160 times in lottery

Virginia Lottery customer, Kwame Cross, played the same four-digit combination for the 160 tickets he purchased in December and won $800,000 

On December 5th, Kwame Cross played the exact same four digit combination for 160 Virginia Lottery tickets he purchased. The lucky combination of 7-3-1-4 proved to be a winning number. In total, the lucky winner won a whopping $800,000.

Whilst expressing his excitement after the win, he told Lottery officials in a news release that:

I saw an address in a TV show in the background, and for some reason, it stayed with me. I just had a feeling.

The winning numbers hit the Pick 4 top prize of $5,000, which was multiplied 160 times to reach Mr. Kwame’s huge pay-out. Moreover, according to Virginia lottery, the chance to match the four numbers in that order is 1 in 10,000.

Kwame also said:

I thought, this can’t be real. I had to pull over and check like 82 times, it feels surreal.

Kwame Cross who is the owner of a small business in Washington DC, also informed lottery officials that he purchased the tickets from Sunoco gas station in Arlington and said he has no immediate plans for the money.
